2 D Echo with colour Doppler

About the test:

The test is also called echocardiography or diagnostic cardiac ultrasound. An echo uses sound waves to create pictures of your heart’s chambers, valves, walls and the blood vessels (aorta, arteries, veins) attached to your heart. A probe called a transducer which transmits ultrasound waves is put over your chest on different location. This may produce harmless irritation in some people.

What you need to do:

1) Kindly fix your appointment in advance from center.

2) Kindly carry all patients’ history reports and old reports with medications being taken.

3) Kindly carry your latest ECG Reports.

4) Kindly Carry Doctor prescription Paper.

5) Kindly confirm your appointment before visit

6) Relatives to accompany the patient.

7) On request patients will get CD with paid extra charges.

8) We have facility of consultation from our panel cardiologist.

Your procedure with us:

No special preparations are necessary for a standard transthoracic echo-cardiogram. You can eat, drink and take medications as you normally would. Your doctor will ask you not to eat for a few hours beforehand if you’re having a transesophageal or stress echo-cardiogram. You should shave your chest of hairs to obtain a good quality echo-cardiogram.

Your Report will be made available between 4:00  to 7.30 pm on the following day.
